MSN messenger death of writing?
I am a little sadened by people who use constant short forums in their texting etc. The reason being an apparent lack of time. I can see this in using a cell phone, stupid thing needs like twelve pushes to spell a three letter word. When Your sitting at a computer how can you not type the full word? And most of the time people are complaining they are bored when online. So kill time an spell the whole thing. Thanks to a diligent use of ENTIRE words I have increased my words per minute, I'm on the verge of typing without looking at the keyboard. And the stupid abbriviations like cya, LOL (no one is laughing out loud) lmao, you'd really know how stupid these sound if you try to spell them out.

thats probably the best part of them. typing is actually still slower than talking. and the faster that people can get things done, all the better. lol and lmao are probably needed anyways, i mean, its better than saying "you're so funny" hundreds of times...its to tell people you laughed at what they did/posted....wether on purpose or not

what's wrong with using "HA" and it sort of loses something when you type barely anything

heck, i dunno, maybe it just sounds weird.

So does laughing out loud.

which is why lol makes it ok. an abreviation can change how a word is recieved...this is getting confusing.

lol is just a way of saying that you think its funny. Its alot better than saying "that is funny". Its because its used so often people understand it.

what he said. ^ lol first came around when AOL thought them up for abreviations for its messaging service, and then it caught on. it was inevitable, i guess.
