this video is just so well done it blew me away. it showcases some awesome features of the game at the same time as being freaking cool. :P
YOU MUST WATCH IT! even if you don't own a 360 or ps3, this game is something you must see, simply because it is such a revolutionary game.
some cool features in AC are:
--Freedom of exploration: every building you see, you can go to, go inside of, and climb to the top of. THAT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. then there is the fact that there are 3 cities to explore. thats a lot of exploring to do. (They are not small cities.)
--Freedom of choice: you can choose many different ways to find your target and assassinate him, and still many ways to escape after the assassination.
--smart-ass: every cpu has it's own AI. if one guy sees you do something that no one else saw, he'll react differently to seeing you then other people do. also, there are many different personalities in the game: beggars, guards, enemies and allies and even a crazy person who babbles to himself a lot. all who think of you differently depending on your actions.
--Awesome replay value: no mission you play twice is ever the same. Main target enemies have their own personalities and make decisions based on where they are, how close you are to them when chasing them/looking for them, and so on.
--animation: the last prince of Persia game had about 50 different animations for all the characters/enemies in the game. there are over 800 different possible animations mapped to the main character alone (1200 total in the game), all set up with surprisingly simple, easy to understand controls. one animation counts as a single attack, or one kind of jump. this gives you an example of just how much you can do in this game.
--fighting: focusing on realism, you can't take a million blows to the head and survive. actually, you can't take one. instead, you take a defensive posture, and since you are often outnumbered by a lot of enemies, you focus on countering and looking for an opening rather then button mashing and inputing combos.
--storyline: you play as altair, an assassin trying to prevent the third crusade by eliminating key nobles and knights who are promoting the war for their own gain. but altair's targets want to continue this war for more than money and power...
i hope this got someone interested in the game as this will be one of the best games coming out this year. it's already won almost 20 awards for best graphics, best of show, and others at E3 and other shows. I actually want this game more than resident evil, Halo 3 or super smash bros brawl.
I think the game is coming out either this september or november, but the internet is being an ass and i can't find a 100% percent reliable source. more on that later!
