old controls for the re games. (1, 2, 3, veronica, and 0.)
the controls do take getting used to, and many give up on the game because of that. but me and my friend dionel agree that it works quite well. usually called "tank" controls, the reason they decided on these controls for so long is the fixed, dramatic camera angles that all the games had before re4. don't get me wrong, i love re4, and the fact that they invented a whole new perspective for such a trapped in time genre is amazing. i like re4 the most, and is probably the game that's taken up the most of my time as a gamer. (i wouldnt know because of the number of files iv'e had, written over, deleted, and started over so many times.) what i'm trying to say is, the controls are quite effective once you're used to them. thoughts?

I agree. The old controls were annoying, especially when you had a zombie right behind you and you were trying to turn around to attack it or run away you would keep walking into a wall. It's bad when your trying to save your ass. But Resi 4 had alot better and more convenient controls.

your right, but my point was you can get used to the old controls if you get used to it. ah well, i still have to agree with you and say the re4 controls are clearly better. o, in resident evil chronicles for the wii, they are remaking every game from 1-4, and will be incorporating the re4 controls into it. its gonna be awesome.

There remaking them all? And sticking in the controls for resi 4? See thats what I've been waiting for.

I think the old controls made the zombies far more dangourous. They're not to nimble, imagine how easy it would be if tthe controls were say like FF12?

you're right. they are. but then again, there are a lot of narrow hallways infested with zombies all throughout the series. i think the behind the back camrera could be even more scary, undwer the right circumstances. like, low lights, and a zombie popping up in front of you, it would really put the player into the game better. lets hope capcom pulls together another award winner, like the past three games.

They had to come up with ways to make slow, dumb and smelly enemies to stand up against a shotgun.
