Red Steel
I have the Wii so I rented Red Steel. After playing it I was disappointed about the sword play but I don't see why people are rating it so bad. The shooting is good, good storyline and overall a fun game. If anyone else has played it then tell me if you would like it or not.

something about the gameplay being too easy, or repetitive or something, i'm not sure ive never played it this is only what ive heard. a friend of mine also got it, and he liked it too...

Never played it but I've only heard bad things about it.

I didn't like it much too repetative.

I mean there are some hard parts when you are getting snipered and you dont know from where and there are like 500 guys shooting at you and you still can't see them.

Gamespot review: 5.5 outta ten. Red Steel introduces a promising control scheme both for shooting thugs and for slashing them with samurai swords, but wraps it in a buggy, thoroughly unimpressive game. The Good: Interesting take on first-person shooter controls; nice explosions and destructible environments. The Bad: Clunky sword-fighting sequences slapped into the middle of all the shooting; inane story chock-full of painful dialogue and voice acting; numerous noticeable bugs and glitches. another thing that i heard from a friend who used to have it but sold it said "the 'shooting's stuff' part is ok, but throughout the game its just more and more of the same stuff over and over, even if it looks a little different, it's the same scenario, same solution, same gameplay. it's too repetitve."

i realized i was being a bit unfair about this, although not on purpose. the game, while a little buggy, is actually a pretty good game, and i am gonna pick it up myself once it goes down in price a bit. heres another review that seems to hit the mark better than gamespot's did for me, because i really feel the game deserved better than 5.5. http://funnyatleast.livejournal.com/1303.html

In Gamespot the ratings called YOU SAY are always higher. Just because the critics say its crap you should listen to the gamers say.

i know i know...most of the time they are pretty spot on tho..
