resident evil.
i'm scared to play it. not the 4th one! ive beaten that one so many times it's not even funny, and to tell the truth, i still play it on a regular basis. it's resident evil one and zero that has me spooked. I just can't stand the thought that a zombie is just going to jump me sooner or later...the most tragic part is, I know it's going to happen sooner or later, and repeatedly, because that's how the games are built!... I think I may even start to lose sleep over this...OMG! A ZOMBIE!...OMG! A WALL! and zombies, they don't exactly help, either. like, come on! ther're all like; "what do we want? BRAINS! when do we want it? BRAINS!" ok, now i'm getting off-topic... but i started both of them like, twice each, and...i cracked after half an hour.i didn't even get to a save point, ever. in zero, you face off against 3 zombies at the same freaking time, right at the beginning of the game, and i panic right there! I ALWAYS GET EFFING BITTEN THERE. :shock: I need to get over my fear of those games ASAP, i promised myself i'd beat them. I played code veronica X on the ps2, and it's the same idea, but it's just not scary. sure it's a thrill to play, i'm not saying that it was boring, it's just that 1 and zero for gamecube succeeds where veronica X didn't and promptly destroys the viewer's nervous system upon putting the game into the console. whoever said visuals do not improve a game is WRONG, needs to be pimp slapped, and handed a gamecube and forced to play the RE games.

I have the exact problem with four. You can only play such games at a very short intervals. And when you think about it that's the way it should be. Stops you from getting desesitised to the zombies trying to KILL you.

lmao. with 4, i used to have the same problem. the thing is, re4 is more of an action game, and you get over your fear of the game in that one much faster than one and zero. but you are right. even after playing through most of resident evil 4, the new enemies near the end will freak you out. theres one that actually breathes scary. and another that just grabs you from out of nowhere. :shock: but you're not there yet :P o, i tried to play one again, and i got a little farther, but now i had to face zombie dogs, and they just like, jumped out of the window from outside! :shock: :shock: they killed me. :cry: and i almost got to save, too.

Oh yeah. And once you killed all the zombies your like *phew*..... THEN THE GIANT PLANT ARMS FLESHY THINGS COME OUT OF THEIR HEADS AND YOUR LIKE @#$%!!!!!

Yeah but not like it did in the other games. The camera just makes it so much scarier.

:shock: holy crap, theres soo many mixed messages in here now. -Lylax I know it's in 4 lol, iv'e beaten the game 11 times on the ps2 version and twice on the gamecube version. going for a third right now, since i just got a wii. (bought re4 for gamecube the same day. :P ) to tell you the truth, ive never played a game as much as re4. ever. and i actually have a friend that likes to beat it at least once a day, and he's become so good at it, he can beat the game in just over 2 hours every time. (the world record is 1:58 ) -nightstalker, he meant the plagas that come out of the enemies' heads when you shoot them in 4. but yeah, the camera angles freak me out in one and zero. a zombie can just sneak up on you so easily.

Not to mention the traps, one time I walked down an empty hall and Bang! window breaks and zombies are clawing at me. Nearly shit myself.

lmao. yeah, i hate those. resident evil 4, it's scary for a while, but it's more of an action game than a thriller like it's predecessors, and in that way, and that way only, resident evil 4 failed to do what it was supposed to do. It has accomplished everything else quite well, though, which is why it got game of the year, 2005 from so many people. re5 is what i really want to play. since the player will be in the desert, water is important, and staying in the sun too long is not good for you, you start to experience hallucinations, mirages that are all IN-GAME. coupled with the fact that the zombies in this one will be pretty darn fast, and you have a perfect recipe for freaking out-ness. also the version for the wii is looking cool too. having to use a flashlight to even see in some parts of the game, when you KNOW theres enemies around that love to sneak attack you, now that is scary.

I managed to beat RE2. I ran like a wuss from everyone except bosses and the dogs. I can NEVER outrun the friggin dogs!!!I was scared of dogs for about a month afterward....

That a bad thing with the the old Resident evils, your best bet usually was just to run.

not really, theres a lot of dead ends, where you'll have to attempt the "barry sanders", a move where you feint to one side, sucker the zombie to follow to one side, then run around him. unfortunatley, it's really really hard to pull off. and that's if theres only one zombie there. if theres two, forget about running altogether.

Resi 4 was more fun than it was scary. A really funny minor glitch was when you had a shotgun and when a zombie got close to you, you could shoot it in the foot and make it go flying have acroos the room or field. It sucks how the villagers weren't so zombiesh. More diseased kind of guys. Silent Hill games were way freakier than most resi games. Like in four it's funny how he doesn't just climb out the window and tell the fire department to break his door down so he can move.

In silent hill four the window was sealed shut. We he could break it however. (Even further off topic they should make that one into a movie.)
