Shoot em up: review
Score: 7/10 (10/10 depending on if you don't mind a few cheesy parts that were obviously done on purpose...but still look cheesy. It's so cheesy it's actually funny.) This is one of the hardest things I've had to review in long time. (i've reviewed games a while back. not here though.) When the movie starts out, you really don't know what to expect. Sure you expect some over the top action and awesome shoot out scenes, but this movie actually overdoes it, comes off as corny, and yet is STILL entertaining. If that makes any sense. The movie is about this guy named smith (actually, no one really knows his name, so everyone calls him smith) who, saves a baby from being murdered. Now stuck with said baby, He has to get it to safety without getting killed himself. Now, HOW he does this is why Brannen and I were shaking our heads, witnessing occasional awesomeness, and roaring with laughter all at the same time. When a guy punches a carrot through a guy's throat, and the carrot comes out through his head, that's a bit much. but me and Brannen (yes our beloved Admin watched it too) were like "OMG that is awesome. WTF tho, that could never happen? Oh well, still awesome." There are some really good scenes in this movie, like when The bad guy thinks he killed the baby, but it turned out to be some kind of freaky robot toy, not the real baby, and the bad guy is like " what the hell is that!?" And the movie gets a gold star for that. Basically this one movie is cheesiness done well, so if you don't mind some unrealistic stuff then you should enjoy this as much as we did.
