sonic and the secret rings
7.6 outta ten. i probably won't get it, but then again, i never get sonic games, they are mostly a love it or hate it franchise. gamespot says: Sonic and the Secret Rings delivers an excellent sense of speed and plenty of depth, and what's just as impressive is that it makes Sonic fun again. The Good: Nice graphics and great level design; excellent sense of speed; varied challenges keep the game interesting; dozens of multiplayer minigames. The Bad: Controls can be extremely frustrating. the whole review: http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/sonicrevolution/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary I will say one thing though: stay away from the sonic game that just came out on the 360 and ps3, it sucks, and its supposedly nothing compared to this one. the ps3 version got 4.2 outta ten http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/sonicthehedgehog/index.html?q=sonic and the 360 got 4.4, not much better. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/sonicthehedgehog/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary gamespot says about them: Sonic the Hedgehog may share its name with the Genesis original, but this game is even more broken than most of the other recent Sonic games have been. The Good: The environments are at least colorful. The Bad: Camera frequently gets in the way; full of little graphical and animation glitches; lengthy and frequent loading times always get in the way; town missions are just plain stupid; action stages aren't really much better.

It is really sad when such a legendary series falls from grace. The only time Sonic mansge to mot suck was when it was on the DS. Harking back to the old side schooling days.

Sonic games have been going worse and worse for a while :?

Brannen- 03-01-2007

Exactly they just seem to forget the essence of sonic and try to force all these stupid characters on us. All we need is Sonic, knuckles and maybe even tails.

spartan1337- 03-02-2007

hey hey wait, guys, this ones actually ok. the wii version is anyways.

lylax- 03-03-2007

Hey shadow is cool too. But characters like cream and all those other shits are dumb. Chao are THE best.

Brannen- 03-03-2007

Shadow is just some crap copy of Sonic. Even less original then knuckles who when you think about it is pretty similar.

spartan1337- 03-04-2007

well, i like shadow, he looks cooler. but it just wouldnt work in smash bros. i agree, his moves would be too similar to sonc's, which suck anyways.

I took a look and I must say it looks like it harks back to the good old days, but like most Wii games, how are they going to use the controler?

spartan1337- 03-04-2007

hah, i have no idea. most of the time when thinking up controls for a wii game, you'd use your imagination, but even that fails me now. i have no idea how he would run jump and attack in this one.

Brannen- 03-04-2007

Like you hold A to make him run and you point the romote where you want him to go and you hit B to make him jump...hey that works. Not to mention kinda cool.

spartan1337- 03-04-2007

hmm, maybe. there is a control stick on the nunchuck, so they might use that for movement too. but it looks like it would be possible to play with just the first half of the controller, the wii-remote.

Brannen- 03-04-2007

I guess not every game needs to involve being on your feet etc. It to bad most of the games couldn't just use that classic controller.

spartan1337- 03-04-2007

that would defeat the purpose of having a wii... the classic controller is for old games (nes-n64)

For some racing games and the tony hawk games you can hold the Wiimote like a steering wheel and turn it to be like your driving.
