What I look for...
in music is different then the kind of music I like. I hat when people ask my what kind of music I like. Because not all rock is good, or rap bad (or visa versa) What you look for in music is a far better and far honest way to define music. I enjoy instuments and powerful refrains. I like a song the makes me feel something, be it the urge to sing along, the feeling of empowerment or sorrow. Emotion is what I look for. Things that will turn me off a song. Heavy repetition (lyrics or music). Montone, again in music or singing. One of the curses in heavy metel and many rap songs.

Sorrow and Emotion eh? Dude it sounds like you like Emo music. That's not good. Are you suffering emo cut-a-wrist syndrom? Then call a Therapist. No I'm just kidding. lol :p

Not necessarily, true a good emotional song is good, I love the "Mad world" song of the Gears of War commercial but most of the time I go for the empowering songs.

meh. i just realized, i listen to a lot of sad stuff. not because i'm emo, but because i find it dramatic. artistic, even. don't get me wrong, i listen to tons of other music, but i just fall for some pianio stuff like "gravity" by an artist i forgot, :lol: or hard rock like "home" by three days grace. or a little bluesy music, e.g. K.T. Tunstall , "the other side of the world."
