The definition of the commander is to get his team to do the work but always allowing themself to help out when needed. Also for the 2nd part, there's always a chance you'll get shot, the commander should be able to minimize the risk that you'll get hit.

At the end of the day the commander is only as good as his men. He can't babysit them all the time. Also the Commander mere co-ordanates (spelling) everything. His men know exactly what they are doing.

His men know exactly what they are doing. The definition of the commander is to get his team to do the work but always allowing themself to help out when needed. Also for the 2nd part, there's always a chance you'll get shot, the commander should be able to minimize the risk that you'll get hit. Someone who doesn't leave all the work to his team and someone who doesn't orders his mates to do things that they are most likely to get shot whilst doing it. It looks like we got 3 opinions ranging from: hard-ass, defensive and protective in that order. I'm just making up names but anyone care to debate the pros and cons of each style?
