What's cool in a fight...
Anime in particular has set the bar for, crazy ass, super strong fight and/or action sequences. I for one enjoyed the fighting in Advent Children, (Though some of it was unrealistic but...). I also like Jackie Chan's environmental interaction, (Flipping up a chair and smacking it into a guys face.) So what stuff or shows has the best elements that make a good action sequence? Speed? Raw Power? Blowing Shit up? Crazy ass moves? Or something else?

crazy ass moves. definitley. watching jet li never gets old, and if you've seen the movie equalibriam, there is no way way you would disagree with me.

I got to say it is blowing shit up. Even if your just bracking stuff. Also I love the sort of street fighting in games like Def Jam.

Swords always make it better. And crazy ass moves. Crazy ass moves using a sword 8)

Can you guys think of any specific examples to look at? Like the fighting in Def Jam was really cool. I ask because I use it as research.

well, we watched the action scenes. I know cause i checked. :P but when it got boring, we all started doing different crap.

Exactly, I particularly like the fight between tifa and (Loc?) and when cloud fight in the forest were they brought the children.

That's blasphamy and thank you that is what I meant. Another cool fight is God of War, kickin ass no matter how big you are.

I don't care if it's blashemy! SEPHIROTH IS MY GOD! :shock: another cool fight is...gaara vs. rock lee in naruto. the effects in those episodes were over the top, you can tell it was quality. :P
